Frequently Asked questions

Thank you for your interest in our Australian Cattle Dog puppies.

We assume that since you have made it to our website, that you are interested in adding an Australian Cattle Dog to your family.

While we do have a few carefully planned litters a year,

the best way to insure that you will be able to reserve a spot for a puppy

is to send us a message or give us a call to be placed on our waiting list.

It is not uncommon for our puppies to be reserved before they are born.

We do have families on our waiting list who may be waiting on a particular color or be interested in a certain breeding to occur, months to years in advance.  We are sorry for the inconvenience to those who are not interested in waiting and understand that adding a puppy is an exciting time and waiting isn't fun.  We do however believe in our dogs and our breeding program and can assure you that adding a healthy, happy puppy to your family should be your ultimate goal and will be well worth the wait.

We spend countless hours and funds maintaining the health or our Heelers and planning each breeding.

We don't believe in throwing just any 2 dogs together and hoping for puppies.

All of our dogs are our family members first.

Each pairing is carefully thought out and planned.

We spend countless hours caring for each puppy after they are born to ensure their health and happiness.

Our goal is to provide you with a happy, healthy, well adjusted family member that you can enjoy for many years

Purchase Process

phone call, text or email is the first step taken when purchasing a puppy.

The second step will be our deposit/waiting list and then deciding on a puppy.

Please let us know in detail the traits desired in your puppy and provide as much information as possible about your experience with dogs in general and specifically herding dogs.  This information helps us to recommend puppies that will fit into your lifestyle based on personality and temperament if you should need our help deciding on a puppy.
Please know that while
Australian Cattle dogs are absolutely amazing, they are not for everyone.

that may arise after you receive your puppy.

Choosing your puppy

Puppy choice is based on the order the deposits were received.  First deposit gets first choice.

We as the breeders maintain the right to hold puppies out to evaluate them as show prospects for ourselves.  We do accept names of those interested in the puppies we pull in the event we choose to place them back available We do not pull from every litter, but we do reserve the right to hold any puppy we are considering keeping.

We understand that choosing a puppy is tough.  We are available to make recommendations and help in any way we can.  We provide weekly photos of each puppy, and observe personality traits to help in the decision making process.

At this time we do not allow in home visits.  Our puppies are born and raised in our home.  This is also our childrens home.  With that in mind we have made the decision not to allow in home visits.  We do understand that some families are not comfortable with our decision and that is why we are upfront from the beginning.  We are more than happy to video chat with families as well as meet at a public location to see the puppies.

.

Tail Docking

We do NOT dock our puppies tails.
